The 11th batch of the Direct Entry Program successfully started on July 17, 2023, with a new record number of more than 70 students. These candidates come from prestigious state and non-state universities around Sri Lanka and the age group is around 24-30. However, among them, a larger portion comes from the University of Moratuwa.
The Direct Entry Program is one of the most unique programs in the IT Education industry that grants any graduate the necessary knowledge and the skillset to integrate themselves into the IT industry. This opportunity does not only extend to IT graduates. The DEP program has successfully converted graduates of various disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Accounting, etc into outstanding IT professionals so far and welcomes graduates of any field who want to jump the ship into the IT industry.
The program was originally set to be a program that would accommodate a limited number of students, however, due to excessive demand, the student limit had to be raised over every intake.
Furthermore, staying true to its intentions, IJSE guarantees that the candidates of the program will advance their way to the IT industry as IT professionals regardless of their educational background.
